About the Artist

I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. Portrait drawing has always been a personal favorite of mine. I love American history, music, and sports. These interests give me the perfect subject matter for my artistic expression.

I favor realism in my work.  My intention is to create art that looks like what it imitates. When rendering a portrait my hope is that it will be easily recognizable by the people who view it.

I enjoy working with different media such as graphite, charcoal, transparent and opaque (gouache) watercolor, and colored pencils.  On occasion, I may mix them to give me a desired effect.

I make my home in Boston, MA where I live with my wife and daughter.
